We had a bunch of specialty drinks and they were all very tasty and the house wine a red blend was delicioso! We were pretty full after all the apps and then got two rolls (they have Sushi)they were really good and we were all stuffed. Calamari was right on the spot and so was the seafood cocktail. Mussels were good but I would have prefered some more bread on the side for us to share. I'm big on apps so we started with 4 the roasted brussel sprouts were fantastic and could feed 6 easily. Really nice menu with a lot of choices a seafood spot but with a lot of meat for the carnivores. We had all perused the menu on the internet before we had arrived and agreed we liked a whole lot of stuff they served. The heaters were all lit for alfresco dining but it was a cold night so we stayed inside. Went with friends for the first time to B&R and we were really pleased with the place from the moment we pulled up it looked warm and inviting with a roaring fireplace in front and a very cool outdoor bar. one we hope to return and repeat again and again. The pistachio ice cream and the Lemon Meringue Pie finished off a memorable dinner. The Decor was inviting, interesting, soothing and combined indoors and outdoors with function and flair. But what blew the boat out of the water was the fresh grouper-the best I've ever had.
The shrimp sushi roll with a hidden roasted almond and we requested the hot peppers held out ( that just doesn't work on my tongue) was exciting to eat. Purveyors of fine food here in Phoenix now have an excellent seafood establishment that Air Express ALL their seafood in fresh daily. When crab fishermen pull up their traps and find two crabs together making woopy, the female crab is the "Buck" and the male crab the "Rider." When caught in such compromising positions the fisherman always toss them back into the ocean so they can keep making more baby crabs for future dinners like the one you're about to have at this fantastic seafood restaurant.The restaurant was born only 13 months ago after a strip center was leveled and this new creation by our beloved LGO (La Grande Orange). At first I thought the name carried a Western motif being Arizona and all, but the owner's creative genius came up with a fishing term for his seafood restaurant. From the name of the restaurant, to the decor, to the restrooms, to the food itself you will not see better creativity and delivery.
